　　If ambition is to be well regarded, the rewards of ambition -- wealth, distinction, control over one’s destiny -- must be deemed worthy of the sacrifices made on ambition’s behalf. If the tradition of ambition is to have vitality, it must be widely shared; and it especially must be highly regarded by people who are themselves admired, the educated not least among them.

　　思考題：

　　切分：

　　2. the rewards of ambition must be deemed worthy of the sacrifices made on ambition’s behalf.

　　參考譯文: 如果雄心壯志要得到很好的尊重，那么雄心壯志的回報(bào)就必須被認(rèn)為是值得為雄心所作的犧牲。無論這些回報(bào)是財(cái)富、聲望還是對(duì)命運(yùn)的控制。

　　選項(xiàng)A：Ambition may be well regarded if its returns well compensate for the sacrifices

　　選項(xiàng)B：Ambition may be well regarded if it is rewarded with money, fame and power

　　這兩個(gè)選項(xiàng)差的很遠(yuǎn);

　　原文說：你無論給什么回報(bào)，種類不重要，關(guān)鍵要配得上。

　　B選項(xiàng)的錯(cuò)誤就在于，強(qiáng)調(diào)種類去了。沒有說配不配的上問題。

　　所以A選項(xiàng)正確。

　　有同學(xué)說定位反了，其實(shí)沒有，很多時(shí)候If的位置是可以互換的，而且這里已經(jīng)沒有更好的選項(xiàng)了，就只能接受了，這是最關(guān)鍵的!一定記住選最佳!

　　邏輯舉例：

　　原文：如果我還在你身邊，那是我愛你。

　　選項(xiàng)：如果我愛你，我還會(huì)在你的身邊。

　　第二句：

　　If the tradition of ambition is to have vitality, it must be widely shared; and it especially must be highly regarded by people who are themselves admired, the educated not least among them.

　　切分：

　　1. If the tradition of ambition is to have vitality,

　　2. it must be widely shared;

　　3. and it especially must be highly regarded by people

　　4. who are themselves admired,

　　5. the educated not least among them.

　　= the educated is not least among them.

　　參考譯文：如果雄心的傳統(tǒng)要有生命力，它就必須得到廣泛的認(rèn)同，尤其要受到那些自己也受人欽佩的人的高度重視，受過良好教育的人在他們當(dāng)中不是少數(shù)。

　　[C] its goals are spiritual rather than material

　　[D] it is shared by the rich and the famous

　　D選項(xiàng)中的the rich and the famous和文中的“受人欽佩的人”和“受過良好教育的人”不能做同義替換，一定要說有關(guān)聯(lián)的話，只能說是可能對(duì)而已。有錢的人，和名人可能是“受人欽佩的人”，所以還是選擇A最好!

　　并且這個(gè)句子也有if 位置不完全匹配的問題。所以依然是A最佳!

　　C選項(xiàng)在文中就沒有任何依據(jù)，屬于NG!

　　明天的句子:

　　思考題：

　　Knowledge about fact and opinion is something that we can not ignore.
